Justin Fitzroy Joseph has developed a distinctive body of work over the past decade at the intersection of painting, materials science, and olfactory exploration. Based in Brooklyn, his practice investigates the complex interactions between artistic expression and scientific inquiry, accomplished through an experimental approach that melds often incompatible materials.  He creates artworks that are inherently exploratory, delving into the cultural conditioning of sense and perception in ways that challenge traditional artistic boundaries.
